About Kim Gaber
I was in the wrong job.
I was working crazy hours, creating elaborate systems, and not having much to show for my effort while ignoring my own well-being. You’ve heard that story before. Then one day, a leader told me I "just needed to care less." It was the least helpful “feedback” I’ve ever received. Ever. And I don't have an off switch for caring! (I don’t want one, thank you.)
So, I asked myself a better question.
“What would it look like if I cared the appropriate amount?”
I was burned out.
My identity was tied up in my job.
I needed a change.
So, I quit and went into the woods, literally.
I hiked the Appalachian Trail. (Not dramatic. Adventurous, thank you.)
I had zero backpacking experience, but I did it. The trail taught me a lot…she still does! When I returned, my mentor was starting a coach training program. What timing!
My burnout wasn’t for nothing. It gave me a perspective and clarity that I now bring to my clients.
I know firsthand what it’s like to care too much and lose yourself. More than that, I became skilled at the craft of coaching.
Here's what I know.
You already have what it takes.
You can be the leader you want and need to be, even when the you-know-what hits the fan. If you’re willing to do the work, I’ll guide you. “Be curious, not judgmental.”
Are you ready?
